PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatment is the injection of your own blood plasma, that is rich in platelets and fortified with vitamins and nutrients, into the skin.Platelets are key in the production of collagen and elastin which are the building blocks of firm and supple skin. Blood is taken from the patient and spun in a centrifuge in order to separate the platelets from the blood. This portion is then injected into the superficial layers of skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is also used to target often difficult to treat areas such as the thin skin of the under eye area. PRP is also an excellent treatment to help reduce hair loss while supporting healthy and strong hair growth. PRP is microneedled into the scalp thus improving the blood micro-circulation in that area as well as delivering essential nutrients and vitamins to the dormant hair follicles.
