Anti-wrinkle Injections

Botulinum toxin A, also known as Botox® , has been widely used for medical purposes for more than 30 years and has been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for cosmetic use.

Botulinum toxin works by disrupting the nerve signalling process in the muscle into which it is injected. As a result, the muscle can not contract and cause the dynamic movements which cause wrinkles.

As well as reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, Botulinum toxin can be used for a variety of medical purposes including the treatment of migraine, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and bruxism (teeth-grinding) to name but a few.

Botulinum toxin takes 3-14 days to take effect and results last around 3-6 months depending on both individual and lifestyle factors.

A full medical consultation is required with Dr Fiona & her team to assess whether this is an appropriate treatment for you.
