Morpheus 8 is a radiofrequency skin tightening treatment that combines micro-needling with fractional radiofrequency for treatment of lines, wrinkles, and loose or sagging skin.
The Morpheus 8 device causes “micro-trauma” to the skin using titanium microneedles which, when combined with radiofrequency energy, allows penetration to the deeper layers of the skin resulting in collagen production and skin rejuvenation.
Over a period of 3-6 months, collagen and elastin levels (which are the essential building blocks of firm skin) increase, resulting in the treated area being more defined and lifted. Results continue to improve up to six months as new collagen develops.
Morpheus 8 can be used on any area of loose or sagging skin anywhere on the body. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck, décolletage and double chin as well as stretch marks on the abdomen and thighs. It can also be used on the eyelids and under eye area to rejuvenate these areas.
A topical anaesthetic will be applied for 45-60 minutes prior to your treatment in order to ensure you are comfortable throughout.
The procedure itself takes no more than 15 minutes. However a thorough medical consultation is required prior to this to ensure this is the right treatment for you.
Morpheus 8 stimulates collagen production in the body which takes at least 4-6 weeks. Most patients report that their skin looks firmer and feels better prior to this however. The best results are 3 months after a course of 3 treatments, performed approx 1 month apart.
Results can last from 6 -12 months (and beyond). However for best results, a maintenance treatment is recommended every 6 months in order to maintain levels of collagen production.
